It is rich in substances of potential biological significance, including saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids and other nutrients. Tribulus Terrestris is a non-steroidal hormone, purported to enhance testosterone levels by increasing luteinizing hormone (LH) levels. LH is a pituitary hormone that turns on natural testosterone production. Some scientific studies show that Tribulus Terrestris may have the potential to increase production of LH. Studies have shown LH increases of 72%, and increases in free testosterone of 41%. Another study detected increases in sperm motility and production. Many bodybuilders who have used Tribulus Terrestris reported significnt gains in both muscular size and strength.
